1993-Present
We have studied feasibility and developed a number of products for people with severe paralyisis including the Arlyn Arm [a transportable maninipulator, the Arlyn Voice controlled desktop tools, the ChairBot Wheelchair Mounted Robot Arm and the Arlyn Feeder Robot.

Our Mission is to develop, build and sell manipulation appliances & ongoing consumables for people with severe paralysis using proprietary low-cost robot technology. These devices will be engineered so that they are durable, reliable, easy to use and offer good value while they enhance their user's independence, dignity and quality of life.

1986-1992 The division was begun to market the automated material handling products of Clark Equipment Company and others. We designed and installed industrial material handling systems containing these products which included:

  1. Robots
  2. Automated Guided Vehicles
  3. Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems
  4. Conveyor
  5. Carousel
  6. Radio Data Terminals
  7. Narrow Aisle Forklifts
  8. Rack

When hired I was given a miscellany of unrelated products. I focused the division’s efforts in the direction of selling automated systems containing the more saleable of these products. I created marketing materials, did market research, called on prospect, bid, sold and installed systems as large as $500K. I also did computer simulations and software development.



1982-1986 A computer store, founded as an Apple Computer dealer. I had a 5% share in the business and served as retail store manager. I set up the retail site and was in charge of accounting systems, floor displays, advertising, scheduling, supervision, customer support, purchasing, inventory and display design. I also taught software courses.


1976-1982 I had as many as three employees at one time, taught two men how to tune and recondition pianos. We also did Steinway grade piano refinishing.


1972-1986 I built contemporary designs as well as copies of historical instruments. Total production was 7 clavichords, three harpsichords, one mountain dulcimer and one rebec.


1999-Present I have done business planning, marketing materials, logo design, recording engineering and music arranging. I play keyboards, guitar, fiddle and do some vocals.
